Last night, one musician friend of mine, Steev sent me a messages through FB’s messenger.
He said “now in north thai==== eating wild mangoes and jackfruit lately- and the teas are marvellous=” along with a lot of tea stories like camellia flower tea, Hmong tea and so on. Wow! (Talking of tea, he also said sorry for my tea house that was closed dwon recently.)
And he kept on, mentioning “still working on the paleolithic flute question // endless working replicas===the sounds of the last 43000 years in my room and in the nearby mountain forest where i wander every day”.
I once gave him a chipped stone arrowhead from the Jomon period. I got it from a local famer when I was in Hokkaido. Steev loved it, though my stone implement was not so old as of the paleolithic ages. I am now wondering what his paleolithic flutes sound like.
After the short chating with him, I was kind of daydreaming… uh… midnightdreaming of myself wondering in the mountain forest in Thailand like he does. His abrupt message took me all the sudden to a different time and distant part of the world, and that led me into a nice, sound sleep in the rest of the night.
In this morning as I woke up, there was one line– that Steev wrote last night– still sticking in my head: “im not even a real human“. He surely is a non-human genious or some sort.
